CONSTRUCTION & COMMISSIONING:

 Commissioning of the Oworonshoki Micro Waterworks on the 13th of March, 2007

 Commissioning of the Igando Micro Waterworks on the 9th of April, 2007

 Commissioning of the Ojo Micro Waterworks on the 9th of April, 2007

 Commissioning of the Otto-Awori Micro Waterworks on the 20th September, 2007


 Commissioning of the Ijora Badia Micro Waterworks on the 30th of October, 2007
 The Construction of Bariga Micro Waterworks (nearing completion).

The Launching of new website:

In addition to the above, the rehabilitation of existing Mini waterworks and the following new projects are planned:  Construction of a dedicated 12.15MW Independent Power Station (IPP project) for the Corporation major waterworks, Iju, Adiyan and Akute which are responsible for about 90% of water supply to the metropolis
 Construction of 15 Waterworks in identify areas of the State  Construction of a new Waterworks in Aguda; Surulere  Construction of a new Waterworks in Ifako Gbagada  Construction of a new Waterworks in Ilupeju  Yaba/Ebute Metta Water mains rehabilitation  Ilupeju/Palmgrove Water mains rehabilitation and expansion
 Lekki Phase 1 Waterworks and mains expansion

 Water mains rehabilitation and expansion, Ikeja & Oshodi

 Water mains rehabilitation and expansion, Lagos Island and environ

 Victoria Island Annex Waterworks and mains expansion

 Dolphin Estate Waterworks expansion

 Relaying of Water mains in Dolphin Estate

 Commissioning of Bariga Waterworks

 Regulation of Ground Water Development, to protect Ground Water from over abstraction by Industrial and Commercial concerns

 Public Private Partnership Initiative to meet water demand due to population growth

The above Projects are expected to be completed with significant improvement in Public Water Supply.


The Lagos State Government intends to construct 15 mini Waterworks at various locations/local Government within the State listed below and Rehabilitate 14 nos Mini Waterworks and heavy duty equipment:

All the above proposed waterworks will have a design capacity of 2 MGD, consisting:
• Borehole system

• Aeration/Sedimentation tank

• Boost pumping system

• Filtrations system

• High lift pumping system

• Clear water reservoir

• Overhead tank system

• Power generation system (PHCN and standby generating set)

• Treated water distribution pipe reticulation

• Station power transformer

• Waste water recovery system, each.
